We have a full-fledged effluent treatment plant consisting of primary, secondary and tertiary treatment. Effluent is treated chemically during the primary treatment to remove suspended solids. In the secondary treatment, the effluent is being treated biologically, during which specially developed bacteria degrade organic matter. Subsequent to which, effluent gets polished by fine filtration in tertiary treatment.

Since prevention is better than cure, our pollution control activity is well-supported by control at source by good house keeping and proper operating procedure. Continuous improvement through developing and adopting cleaner technology is our goal. We have an R & D laboratory with qualified scientists who upgrade our technology. Our prime stress is on minimisation of waste. The processes are optimised to the level of maximum yield level and this has helped us potentially reduce the pollution load. A separate team of employees including environmental scientists and chemists are engaged to run the effluent treatment plant efficiently and for further development in the environment management system.

We have a well-equipped laboratory consisting of instruments like COD reflux (Soxhlet), BOD incubator, colour comparator, DO analyser, microscope, gas chromatographs, atomic absorption spectroscopy etc. for effluent analysis.

The treated effluent is disposed off through a common effluent treatment plant (CETP) which is managed by Odhav Enviro Projects Limited (OEPL). Odhav Enviro Projects Limited is promoted by a group of 55 companies in Odhav Industrial Estate. This company takes care of final treatment and disposal of waste water collectively. One of our directors is also a member on the board of directors of OEPL.
